An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and imaginative Business Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation specialising in high-impact event and exhibition solutions. This is a sales role with a creative edge — ideal for someone who can combine commercial acumen with strategic thinking to win and grow business relationships.


About the Role:

As Business Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and converting high-potential new business opportunities. You’ll prospect, pitch, and close deals before transitioning clients to an account management team — allowing you to stay laser-focused on uncovering the next opportunity.

Supported by expert sales and creative resources, you’ll craft engagement strategies and tools that help clients succeed at events. You’ll also maintain a detailed pipeline and use a customised CRM to manage forecasting and reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

* Proactively source, qualify, and close new business opportunities — including self-generated and marketing-supplied leads
* Deliver engaging pitches and proposals that demonstrate value and innovation
* Design bespoke engagement tools that enhance your client’s presence at events
* Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and provide regular forecasting updates
* Negotiate deals to optimise margin and meet lead time targets
* Build strong, ongoing relationships with long-term prospects
* Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions
* Collaborate with internal teams to keep the offering best-in-class
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead

* Excellent at qualifying, presenting, and closing deals
* Creative thinker who enjoys developing new ideas to engage clients
* Digitally confident, especially on social platforms and CRM tools
* Effective time manager who can prioritise high-value opportunities
* Comfortable with UK and occasional international travel
* Confident attending and working events as part of the sales strategy
