The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND department to support students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
You will provide both in-class support and targeted interventions, helping students access learning, build confidence, and make meaningful academic and personal progress. Connex Education work exclusively with this school and trust with all their bookings so this gives your reassurance on regular work.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting students with additional learning and emotional needs
• Assisting teachers in adapting resources and lessons
• Promoting positive behaviour in line with school policy
• Building strong, trusting relationships with students
• Supporting students’ academic and personal development
