Job Purpose
We’re looking for a Maintenance Planner who can translate a maintenance schedule into a reality by managing resources and stakeholders to maximize available time on production equipment. The planner will also be responsible for scoping and managing non-routine works, including contractor management, safe job management, and handover to operations.
Job Description
* Location: Mars UK, Slough, SL1 4LG
* Salary: £45,000–£50,000
* Performance-related company bonus
* Hours: Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours/week
* Permanent position
What are we looking for?
* Previous technical background as a technician or engineer
* Experienced PC user (SAP, Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, production planning systems)
* Manufacturing environment experience, including planning and scheduling desirable
* Electrical background beneficial
Key Responsibilities
* Manage scheduling of planned maintenance to optimize production downtime
* Convert maintenance requests into actionable work orders, determine resource needs, and set up technicians for success
* Manage the work order backlog for your production area
* Engage with contractors, ensuring outsourced maintenance elements are executed to best practices and onsite contractors are effectively managed
* Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, including operations teams and other planners, to prioritize tasks accurately
