We are currently recruiting for a company in Burnley who are looking to recruit a Press Brake Operator on a permanent basis. This role involves operating a variety of manual and automated machinery and producing high quality metal materials to meet production and quality targets.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Experience of setting and using Amada HFT and HFE Press Brakes for production according to specifications provided.
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Determine the correct set-up and operation of the machines to ensure accurate and precise bending and forming of metal components using various materials.
* Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure that they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
* Selecting appropriate tools, dies, and fixtures to produce the work.
* Material Handling including loading and unloading sheet materials into the machine.
* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure its optimal performance.
* Identifying and reporting any defects to deviations from specifications.
* Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard whilst following all safety procedures.
* Collaborating with other members of the manufacturing team to complete projects on schedule.
Experience required:
* Experienced in operating Amada press brake machines.
* Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, tools and equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and quality control
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Ability to accurately measure and evaluate the dimensions of metal. components.

Hours of work:
Current working hours – Trial Period (6 months) - 40 hours per week
Monday – Thursday 6.30am -5.00pm including an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes each day and a 15-minute paid morning break.
Friday – Overtime @ 1.5 / Sat – Overtime @ 1.5 / Sunday – Overtime @ 2
Contracted hours – 40 hours per week
Monday – Thursday 7.00am – 4.30pm & Friday 7.00am – 11.00am including an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes each day and a 15-minute paid morning break.
Salary is paying between £30,888 - £35,776 + the above benefits.
