Temp Accommodation Officer Role - Housing Role
36 hour week - hybrid working available
Duties:
* To provide a customer-focused, choice-based lettings service to the public, through engagement with statutory and voluntary agencies, developing partnerships to promote equal access to housing and related services.
* To support vulnerable households in accessing council services and work to reduce the number of homeless households in temporary accommodations by promoting other viable rehousing options.
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience working in a front-facing team interviewing and assessing clients' housing needs.
* Experience dealing with complex casework face-to-face and in writing.
* Experience delivering a customer-focused service, handling queries by telephone and face-to-face, achieving satisfactory outcomes.
* Ability to manage properties, including dealing with anti-social behaviour and tenancy/license breaches.
* Experience working with people in stressful situations.
* Ability to work within a team, using own initiative with commitment, flexibility, and a positive approach to achieving results and overcoming obstacles.
* Ability to maintain accurate and concise records with attention to detail.
