Salary: £90–£100 per day
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates may apply for candidates with strong subject knowledge or previous classroom/Cover Supervisor experience. Pay is in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
Teach Now is recruiting a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor / Student Support Officer to join a busy secondary school in Brent. This is a varied and engaging role that combines classroom supervision with student support and administrative responsibilities.
The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic school environment, is confident managing classrooms, and has the organisational skills to support key areas such as exams and careers guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Supervision
• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers
• Ensure students remain focused on pre-set work
• Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment
Exam & School Support
• Assist with the preparation and administration of internal and external exams
• Help ensure exam procedures and regulations are followed
• Provide general support to ensure the smooth running of school activities
Careers & Student Support
• Assist with booking student appointments and organising careers schedules
• Support students attending careers meetings and guidance sessions
• Help coordinate communication between students, staff and support teams

Requirements
• Confidence supervising a classroom and managing student behaviour
