Head of Supplies Manager

Ashtead Hospital – Surrey

Full Time hours per week


Ashtead Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading independent healthcare providers in England.

As the Head of Supplies Manager this is a key Head of Department role across Ashtead Hospital.

What you’ll do:

1. Lead the delivery of supplies & stores services for the hospital and provide subject matter expertise to the hospital Senior Leadership Team and Heads of Department.

2. Manage the delivery of services across a wide portfolio of other support ‘hotel’ services including, but not limited to, Housekeeping, portering, site security, inter hospital vehicle delivery services, site decoration and car parking.

3. As a Head of Department the postholder is expected to participate in inter departmental and wider initiatives across Ramsay to develop and embed best practices.

4. Other duties that are assigned by the Head of Operations that are within the scope of the skills set of the postholder.

5. Act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with internal and external customers.

6. Promote the company in a positive manner both internally and externally.

7. Demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect of others and a commitment to professional practice.

What you’ll bring:

8. Management of People and Teams.

9. Budget management and/or at least familiarity in utilising supporting information to make informed business decision.

10. An ability to plan and manage workload and flows effectively and organise manpower resources utilising rostering and human resources systems to meet these needs.

11. Quality management and service improvement techniques.

12. Detailed understanding of the SAP system or equivalent.

13. Capability to act up and deputise for the Head of Operations.

14. Demonstrated Computer Skills (particularly MS Office Packages).

15. Sound written and verbal communication skills.

16. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.

17. Flexibility, adaptability and versatility to meet the changing needs of the business.

18. Demonstrated Customer Service skills.
