About the role
Alder Close Supported Living & Respite is based in the town of March, Cambs and supports adults with a learning disability to live within supported living accommodation.
The role of Support Worker is to enable adults with a disability to live as independently as possible and to enjoy the lifestyles they choose to. We support and empower individuals to enhance the quality of their life, maximise potential and to continue to promote and develop independence skills within their home or whilst staying at Respite.

About you
As a Support Worker, it is not essential that you have previous experience of supporting a person with a disability, however, excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as IT skills are required for the role, as is a proficient level of written and spoken English for the purposes of case recording. You will have an NVQ level 2 in Health and Social care or an equivalent qualification.
You will also have the ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion, and the Mental Capacity Act as well as the need for safety and confidentiality in the role.
