Learning Support Mentor:About the Role:
We are recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Mentor to join a supportive SEMH setting in Wythenshawe. You will be working with pupils aged 11 to 16 years, providing guidance, encouragement, and tailored support to help them succeed academically and personally. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people in a positive, nurturing environment.
Learning Support Mentor Key Responsibilities:

Providing one:to:one and small group mentoring for pupils aged 11:16 as a Learning Support Mentor.
*
Supporting students with SEMH needs to engage with lessons and complete tasks.
*
Developing positive relationships with pupils to build trust, confidence, and resilience.
*
Assisting teaching staff with behaviour management strategies and interventions.
*
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers and leadership.
*
Helping pupils develop social, emotional, and communication skills.
Learning Support Mentor Person Specification:
*
Experience working as a Learning Support Mentor with children or young people in an SEMH or education setting is desirable.
*
Ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience, empathy, and consistency.
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
*
Passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential.
