Expro Group are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join the Supply Chain team based in Aberdeen. Overall Purpose of the Job This person is recognized to assist in leading the Procurement team; who procures Capex or Opex goods and services as assigned and as required by Expro. To follow the GSC policies and ensure that goods or services are purchased to the required specification, quality level, at a competitive price and delivered in a timely manner. The role has a change and process development element to instill best practise and continuous improvement through both execution and peer support. The scope of the role is global / cross regional with responsibility for both product line and operations level support. Key Activities and Accountabilities Day-to-day support of activities across the Opex/Capex procurement team, leading processes including staff support. Ensure that the procurement processes and procedures are aligned with the Global Supply Chain strategy. Execute assigned buying portfolio from quotation to delivery and invoice payment. Ensure compliance with the supplier management strategy on assigned portfolio and through execution, demonstrate good supplier management practice. Ensure suppliers meet required HSEQ standards and that product and services delivered are to specification, on time. Responsible for continually working with suppliers to deliver cost reduction programs aligned with SCM goals. Drive self and inspire others with the department to achieve KPI's as defined by management, including but not limited to on time delivery, savings, and internal lead times. Represent the procurement function internally professionally and to assume a leading role in meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Support, guide and mentor less experienced colleagues. Assist in other purchasing/ departmental duties/ activities as detailed by the Procurement Management. Job Knowledge and Qualifications Proven experience in best practice SCM, team leadership and business process development. Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior or similar role with supervisor responsibility for a procurement team Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Powerpoint and Word) and SAP systems (preferred) Degree in Supply Chain Management and/or professional qualification (MCIPS, SCMP, CPM) or related subjects preferred Demonstrate a developed knowledge of supply markets, RFQ/bid process and evaluation.
