Major Job Functions:
1. Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Carry out routine servicing of equipment according to manufacturer guidelines, including routine oil samples (75%).
2. Machine Inspection: Perform visual and mechanical analysis of machine condition, identify issues with hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and mechanical systems (20%).
3. Minor Repairs: Conduct minor repairs, install telematic systems, and perform undercarriage inspections (5%).

*This role is field-based. Drivers must have held a full driving license for at least 2 years (subject to DVLA check).
*Working hours: 43 hours/week, Tuesday to Saturday, with flexible start and finish times.
Specific Skills:
Basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics related to servicing and repairing heavy mobile plant or similar equipment.
Accountability:
Attend customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, liaise with service controllers and customers, ensure high standards and safety, complete paperwork accurately, and care for company vehicle and equipment.
Education and Experience:
Approximately 3 years of relevant experience or related engineering background, such as car mechanic, HGV fitter, military vehicle mechanic, or formal apprenticeship with at least C&G Level 1. Health & Safety training is desirable but not essential.
