Job Description:
We are working on an exciting new role for a client manager to join the client governance team at a leading investment firm in Edinburgh. This is a varied position primarily focused on client services, overseeing third-party agents, and managing their service levels. The role also involves distribution support, project work, and process improvement initiatives.
We are actively seeking applications from individuals with demonstrable experience in an asset management firm (either in client services or overseeing transfer agents) or an asset servicing firm, with an emphasis on client services.
Skills/Experience:
* Experience in distribution and customer relationship management within an asset management business, covering institutional clients and wholesale distribution partnerships across various product types (e.g., UCITs, OEIC, private markets, public markets).
* Ability to communicate process changes effectively and collaborate across different functions to support Client Governance objectives.
* Commitment to quality, timely outcomes, managing objectives, and delivering results against corporate and individual goals.
* Team player willing to challenge and be challenged.
* Ability to work with colleagues at all levels of seniority.
* Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet strict deadlines.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Co-pilot).
* Demonstrable experience from an asset management or asset servicing firm, emphasizing client servicing skills.
* Understanding of the client experience in asset management/asset servicing and how to achieve excellence.
* Awareness of the regulatory environment across multiple jurisdictions, including UCITS and OEICs.
Core Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage service levels and performance of transfer agents.
* Coordinate responses to client requests via email or through internal teams.
* Liaise between investors and relevant teams to resolve queries related to investor instructions and dealing activities.
* Stay informed about regulatory developments and adjust policies accordingly.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
* Communicate issues internally, document, and escalate as needed.
* Participate in regulatory-driven projects and initiatives, such as Consumer Duty requirements.
