Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Intervention Teaching Assistant to join the team at a large primary school based in Northfield, Birmingham. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide essential support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. The successful candidate will work closely with the SEN Coordinator or Inclusion Manager to create and implement tailored intervention strategies, assist in classroom activities, and foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Individualised Support: Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who have special educational needs. Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans under the guidance of the SEN Coordinator. Classroom Support: Assist classroom teachers in adapting lesson plans and materials to meet the needs of students with SEN. Provide support during classroom activities, ensuring students with SEN can fully participate and engage. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students with SEN, tracking their academic and social development.
