I’m recruiting on behalf of an outstanding regional construction business to appoint a Project Director to lead the delivery of a flagship data centre project in Central London, with an estimated site value of c. £200m.
This is a pivotal, high-profile role within the business and represents a rare opportunity to take ownership of one of the most significant projects in its portfolio.
🏗️ The Role
As Project Director, you will have full responsibility for the successful end-to-end delivery of this landmark data centre project, from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
You will act as the senior client-facing lead, setting project strategy, driving programme and commercial performance, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence.
Working closely with internal teams, consultants, and key supply-chain partners, you will lead a large, multidisciplinary delivery team and report directly at board level.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overall leadership and governance of a ÂŁ200m+ data centre project
* Acting as the primary interface with the client, consultants, and stakeholders
* Driving programme certainty, risk management, and commercial control
* Leading and mentoring senior project, commercial, and site teams
* Ensuring best-in-class standards in health & safety, quality, sustainability, and commissioning
* Representing the business on a flagship scheme within a competitive, high-profile London market
* Proven experience as a Project Director / Senior Project Director delivering major projects (ÂŁ100m+)
* Strong background in data centres, mission-critical, or highly serviced technical buildings
* Excellent commercial awareness and experience managing complex delivery strategies
* Confident operating at client, board, and investor level
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience delivering projects in live or constrained urban environments
