Overview
Our client, an innovative technology company based in the greater Boston area, is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking computer vision applications in manufacturing, directly impacting operations for a wide range of customers.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms for computer vision applications.
* Train, fine-tune, and optimize models for tasks including quality control, defect detection, object recognition, and process optimization.
* Write scalable, production-ready code for deploying ML models in real-world environments.
* Conduct research, experimentation, and prototyping to enhance performance and accuracy.
* Stay current with advancements in machine learning and computer vision technologies.
* Collaborate with customers to understand challenges and deliver tailored solutions.
Qualifications
* MS/PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field (BS with relevant experience considered).
* 2+ years of professional experience in computer vision and machine learning.
* Hands-on experience with 2D object detection; YOLO familiarity preferred.
* Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, OpenCV, and related libraries.
* Strong understanding of image processing and histogram localization techniques.
* Experience developing production-level software (not only research datasets).
* Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
* Bonus: experience with autoencoders, semi/unsupervised learning, or traditional CV techniques.
