A Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse post has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced Critical Care nurse within the Adult Critical Care Unit at Glangwili General Hospital.
The Sister/Charge Nurse in Critical Care will be responsible for ensuring a high level of patient care at all times throughout the unit. They will actively supervise patient care, manage planned and unplanned admissions, and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
They must be confident in leading the unit in the absence of Senior Sisters and involved in coaching and developing junior team members.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must have significant experience in critical care nursing, demonstrate leadership of a specialist nursing team, and hold a Post Graduate critical care qualification.
They should be a team player, able to communicate clearly, and maintain a calm approach to problem-solving.
They should be committed to continuous improvement and learning to uphold high standards of care.
They must also demonstrate a passion for patient-centred care by keeping the department organized and professional at all times.
Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; applications from English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome.
