Closing Date: Sunday 15 June 2025 at 11.59pm

We are seeking committed individuals with advanced clinical practitioner experience who value the opportunity to educate the next generation of advanced clinical practitioners and contribute to post-registration education.

Applicants must be experienced advanced clinical practitioners, NMC or HCPC registrants, wishing to develop their careers by providing high-quality, innovative teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Centre for Rural Health Science.

Ideally, applicants should have teaching experience with pre- and post-registration students. Experience in delivering academic education and a recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

This is an academic post within the Centre for Rural Health Sciences, part of a broader academic team involved in NMAHP education, research, and pedagogy.

The University offers opportunities for academic and professional development, including undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching for those without a recognised teaching qualification. Support will be provided to help develop your interests and progress your career.

For informal questions, please contact Professor Nicola Carey, Head of the Centre for Rural Health Science, via email at nicola.carey@uhi.ac.uk, or Dr. Heather Bain, Associate Head of the Centre, at Heather.Bain@uhi.ac.uk.

Post 1: 0.5 FTE: Part-time, involving 17.5 hours per week, with working patterns to be agreed with your line manager.

Post 2: 0.6 FTE: Part-time, involving 21 hours per week, with working patterns to be agreed with your line manager.

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, with no guarantee of employment thereafter.
