Package Description

We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager at Hazlemere Lodge Care Home in High Wycombe, a 64‑bed residential service. The role reports to the Registered Manager and involves leading the care team to ensure safe, supportive, person‑centred care for residents.

What Is Required From You

* A minimum of 12 months of right to work in the UK
* Prior experience leading a team of care assistants
* QCF Level 3 Diploma or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks
* Must be available to work a flexible 42‑hour per week


A Day In The Life Of A Deputy Manager

As Deputy Manager you will be responsible for leading the care team to ensure that care delivered to residents is safe, supportive and person‑centred. You will regularly review residents' needs, maintain hygiene standards, and support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home, assuming full capacity in their absence.


A Typical Day Could Include

* Induction of new team members and ongoing supervision and support for existing team members
* Completion of care audits to ensure good practice and trigger reviews as residents' needs change
* Liaising with family members, care professionals, social workers and residents to ensure a holistic and transparent care provision
* Monitoring, reporting and investigating risks and events of safeguarding concern or harm, and ensuring processes mitigate these risks
* Ensuring administrative records such as daily care notes, medication charts and meeting notes are up to date
