As the Database and DBS Administrator you’ll help manage and maintain our central database and oversee our DBS process – essential parts of keeping our diocesan community running smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain the central database, ensuring data is accurate, up to date and fully compliant with Data Protection regulations.
* Support parish queries and guide them through annual processes, providing a friendly point of contact.
* Manage the recruitment process by handling DBS checks from start to finish, working with parishes, the Safeguarding team and Thirtyone:Eight.
* Support the Receptionist during busy times, breaks and periods of annual leave to help keep the front‑of‑house welcoming and responsive.
Qualifications
Confident with administrative processes, able to juggle a varied workload and eager to suggest improvements. Comfortable working independently while enjoying being part of a friendly and supportive team. Up‑to‑date knowledge of Data Protection and DBS requirements is essential.
Hours & Salary
Full‑time (35 hours per week), Monday to Friday. Salary: £25,567.70 – £27,546.57. Office‑based role in our diocesan central office on York Place, Leeds.
Benefits
25 days’ annual leave (rising to 30 days after five years) plus bank holidays and four customary days between Christmas and New Year. 8% non‑contributory pension scheme plus up to 5% matched contributions.
