Responsibilities
The role will involve forging strong relations with clients and offering guidance and advice to those on accessing capital.
To work with external parties and syndicate & sales teams to gather investor appetite.
Work on underwriting and distribution strategies, management of stakeholders on coverage, syndicate, sales and risk to obtain the relevant approvals.
Lead the origination activities for HY Bonds, Term Loans and other syndicated bank facilities (among others, TLAs, RCFs, Guarantee Lines).
Oversee the running of financial models, credit analysis, review and structure documentation and drive materials.
Manage the day-to-day execution of live deals (High Yield Bonds and Loan markets).
Closely monitor Leveraged Loans & HYB market trends and identify new business opportunities.
Coordinate development of internal market trackers (comps, covenant grids) and processing of market research (business / sector etc.).
Lead pitch processes, interacting with external clients (including debt issuers and private equity clients) and internal stakeholders.
Lead the origination activities, working with all stakeholders.
Assist in client coverage with participating / leading client dialogue including preparation of client materials including, among others, advanced financial statement analysis and thoughtful cash flow projection models, pitches, term sheets, covenant analysis and market updates.
Advise companies on financing (acquisitions, capital return, and/or ongoing working capital and refinancing needs).
Review and analyse new business opportunities with relevant stakeholders.
Lead on producing internal memos for credit and syndicate committees.
Take on responsibility for finance documentation, covenants, commitment papers, IMs, precedents and sponsor grids.
Putting together marketing materials and other external deal processes related to deal execution including Loan syndication materials, roadshow presentations, questionnaires etc.
Candidate Profiling
Hold a relevant Degree with an excellent academic track record.
Have between 6 & 10 solid years of experience in a Leveraged Finance role.
Experience in analysing and structuring Leveraged Finance deals.
Experience of underwriting as well as the syndication of high yield bonds.
Fluent in English and x1 other European language with a preference leaning towards Italian and Spanish.
Language proficiency: fluent in English and Spanish, another EU language would be beneficial.
Excellent IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Bloomberg)
