Environmental AdvisorRegion: Midlands & North West, with travel requiredSalary: £45,000 - £52,000 + Car or AllowanceAbout the Role:We’re supporting a leading utilities and infrastructure contractor in their search for an Environmental Advisor to work across a portfolio of rail, utilities and construction projects. This is a new role within the business and will form part of the wider HSEQ team offering a real opportunity to help shape the environmental approach as the organisation continues to grow.You’ll support project and operational teams with day-to-day environmental management, ensuring compliance, promoting good practice and providing clear, practical guidance on the ground. The role offers strong exposure to major infrastructure programmes and regular client interface, making it ideal for someone looking to develop further within environmental management.Key Responsibilities:Provide environmental advice and support across active infrastructure and utilities projectsCarry out site inspections, audits and environmental reportingSupport environmental incident investigations and follow-up actionsAssist with permits, waste management, materials, pollution prevention and site controlsHelp project teams understand legislative requirements and good practice standardsContribute to environmental plans, registers and monitoring activitiesBuild strong working relationships with site teams and client representativesSupport wider sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives within the regionAbout You:Experience within construction, civil engineering or utilities environmentsIdeally some client-facing experience with some of the UK’s major electricity network operators would be highly beneficialRelevant environmental qualification or working toward oneISEP (IEMA) membership or working towardFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites
