Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Workshop Assistant to join our team and gain practical experience in workshop operations. Responsibilities
* Assist with the assembly of components using hand tools, power tools, and schematics under supervision
* Support maintenance tasks, including equipment inspection and basic repair work
* Help with the organisation and cleaning of the workshop area to ensure safety and efficiency
* Participate in the use of welding techniques where necessary, following safety protocols
* Handle heavy lifting safely when moving materials or equipment around the workshop
* Support the team in troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing routine repairs
* Provide excellent customer service by responding professionally to internal requests and inquiries
* Follow safety procedures diligently during all tasks to maintain a secure working environment
Experience
* No prior experience required; however, familiarity with schematics, mechanical knowledge, or basic assembly is advantageous
* Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, or equipment repair is desirable but not essential—training will be provided
* Basic understanding of welding or maintenance practices is a plus
* Strong willingness to learn new skills and develop technical knowledge in a workshop setting
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively as part of a team
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail are beneficial for maintaining workshop standards
