Structural Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Construction, Manufacturing, Concrete, Steel
1. Liaise and work with the internal team of other mechanical/structural engineers and contract/business managers, and external parties such as experimental testing facilities and Universities
2. Developing own knowledge and ability, path to Chartership. Continuous improvement activities to support business growth
3. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve design practices and enhance construction efficiency
4. Keeping senior management up to date on project status and progress
5. Concept to detail engineering design stages of buildings and their structural elements.
6. Using and developing in-house design, modelling and analysis tools
7. Writing standard Eurocode compliant hand calcs, and embedding design code checks in workflow
8. Producing CAD models, preparing and exporting models considering assembly and cost
