Home Management: To achieve the best outcomes for all children and young people, ensure that the home is managed effectively and efficiently. Ensure that Residential Childcare staff are focussed on providing the best childcare for the children and young people. Ensure full participation and co-operation with Area Camden's comprehensive and integrated Quality Assurance systems, including taking responsibility for all duties associated with regulatory compliance. Responsibilities • To provide technical support to site staff as required, • Assist in the assembly, installation, calibration and commissioning of a wide range of advanced production equipment, • To comply at all times with the company’s Quality Assurance & Health & Safety procedures, site specific health and safety policies and relevant health and safety legislation to ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with legislation and best practice, • Actively contribute towards the company’s continuous improvement processes, • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used., • Showcase strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis, • To assist in developing the shop floor staff by providing advice and guidance on all aspects of the site, • Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and tidy to ensure minimum disruption, • To liaise and cooperate with the visits of specialist sub-contractors and other visiting disciplines to ensure the continuing efficient operation of the plant with minimal disruption, • Use of IT systems to provide information and data in line with the QMS and other management reporting systems, • External Site Visits when required eg: Hubs, Hereford and Telford Sites, • Electrical and mechanical fault troubleshooting, • Planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment, • Ensure day to day maintenance of all production equipment is maintained Experience/Education • Completed time-served apprenticeship or equivalent training, but not essential., • Or time served in a roll where multi skills are used on a daily basis and over the years you have become competent but not necessarily qualified., • City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or higher in mechanical or electrical field., • Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and COSHH, • 18th edition electrical safety awareness. Competent person., • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings. Preferred Skills • Ability to read and comprehend electrical drawings for fault finding purposes, have experience working with pneumatics., • Basic fabrication skills are advantageous. The use of testing equipment., • Good IT skills using Microsoft packages Word, Excel, and Outlook., • Effective workload planning and prioritization abilities, can work independently and in teams, • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to work in a team, • A positive, pro-active can-do attitude., • Can communicate clearly with strong and adaptable interpersonal skills., • Honest, trustworthy, and reliable – demonstrate good integrity. This is a sole charge GP first opinion position, and you will be comfortable with routine GP consultations and surgery, but ample support is provided by management in the region. You will also be responsible for the support and guidance of an additional vet who will work between Croydon, New Addington and Caterham. Being south of the river, you are ideally located near idyllic Kingston Upon Thames, and then for a night out in London within easy reach of Brixton. Now let’s get to the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: Our senior salary band is £64,000 to £85,000 (FTE) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role, as we would welcome the opportunity to provide CPD for further clinical or management development. This role can accommodate a Tuesday to Friday rota, and includes a branch Saturday rotation and a 1:10 Sunday rotation in the Stone Lion Hospital plus 1 bank holiday per year. There are no on-call requirements for this position. Accommodation is available at nearby New Addington if required.
