The role
As a Programme Procurement Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to drive transformation, establish new processes, and lead a newly formed team. You will oversee key categories including Facilities Management, Plant Hire, and Professional Services.
Day-to-day, you’ll drive procurement strategy alignment with Global and Local needs, lead team adoption, foster cross-functional collaboration, optimise supplier negotiations, and ensure continuous improvement through performance monitoring.
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to align with both Global and Local requirements.
2. Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new processes.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop relationships and understand procurement needs.
4. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts focusing on cost, delivery, quality, and social value.
5. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with new processes.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience of Programme Procurement Manager
1. Extensive previous procurement experience, with a proven ability to lead teams through change.
2. Strong leadership and change management capabilities.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
4. Experience in system implementations and process improvements.
5. Relevant degree or professional qualification in procurement or supply chain management.
