Do you want to make a difference in the lives of people? Do you want to help people thrive, not just survive? Then this could be the job for you. A career opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced social care worker at Strathburn House, Gairloch.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate, and reliable individual interested in supporting people in your community. This is an extremely rewarding role where you can be proud of the difference you make!
You should be motivated and enthusiastic, able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will adopt a person-centred approach to deliver high-quality, flexible, and responsive care to service users within the care home.
Your responsibilities include supporting and assisting service users using the re-ablement approach, aiming to maximise and maintain their independence.
This role involves leading shifts, administering medication, and supporting and guiding other care staff to meet residents' needs. You will undertake a key working role within the service, so knowledge and experience of Support Planning, review processes, and Risk Assessing related to older people are essential.
Previous experience in a social care setting is required. Ideally, you will hold an SVQ 3 in Social Care or, at minimum, an SVQ 2 with a willingness to achieve an SVQ 3 to enable registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner in a Care Home Service for Adults within 3 years of appointment.
