About This Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a UK Customer Service Coordinator to join our corporate Sales team at Crown. This role will be based at either our Peterborough or Botcherby beverage can manufacturing plants in the UK. The position will report to the UK Sales Manager. The purpose of the role is to manage the short-term customer demand process through collecting forecasts, setting up orders in SAP, delivery planning, ensuring adherence to commercial agreements through service level and contract terms compliance and communicating internally with respect to changes to orders / deadlines etc. Main Responsibilities Receive orders from customers, enter orders in the system, maintain pricing module in SAP Liaise with customers to validate short term demand plan Negotiate with customers regarding lead-times, delivery schedules etc. to help maximise plant productivity Provide product status information to customers (i.e. on order, in process, in stock, in transit) Monitor the logistics path from stock to delivery at customer filling line/s Maintain Sales Orders in the system Ensure that the financial handling of deliveries is within specified credit limits Liaise with Finance on invoicing matters Ensure that standing data is maintained by customer / location Liaise with the Logistics department on material supply and delivery of products Arrange pro-active visits to the customer to maintain good relations and improve our understanding of customer requirements Implement and maintain administrative controls Manage the Commercial interface at plant level Resolve all sales invoice queries Monitor slow and non-moving f/g stocks and liaise with customers and our Finance team to dispose/exhaust them appropriately Required Education And Experience Degree qualified, specialising in Business, Supply Chain or another relevant subject 3 to 5 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Required Skills And Competencies Proficient in MSOffice suite including good Excel skills Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (ideally SAP) Excellent verbal and written English Effective communication skills, able to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders Good interpersonal and planning skills Team player Detail oriented with excellent administrative skills Customer-oriented and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines Flexible and adaptable to change What Crown Offers You The opportunity to build a career in a multi-cultural environment To be rewarded fairly and promoted based on merit and performance Professional and personal development through training and work experiences Strong engagement and commitment to the safety of our employees Join us and become part of an international team of professionals who are passionate about sustainable packaging!
