We are seeking a skilled and passionate Behaviour and Inclusion Officer to support pupils across school with engagement, relationships and emotional regulation, ensuring every pupil feels safe, valued and successful. You will play a leading role in celebrating and reinforcing positive behaviour each day, while further embedding our whole-school approach to the Zones of Regulation. Pupils are looked after by caring staff who know them and their families well.” — Ofsted, 2022 “Your people say they absolutely love working at Manston Primary School and are extremely proud of what you achieve, and the positive impact you can have on the local community.” — Investors in People Gold Report, 2025 “Your flexible working practices make a positive difference to people’s job satisfaction and quality of life, helping to retain and attract good people.” — Investors in People Gold Report, 2025 Manston is a warm, welcoming school with: Respectful, enthusiastic pupils and a calm learning environment A strong staff culture built on teamwork, trust and shared values Clear and consistent behaviour systems with relational practice at the heart Investment in professional development and wellbeing Recognition through Investors in People Gold and the Wellbeing Award for Schools The Role You will: Build trusted relationships with pupils who need additional support to access learning and help them develop strategies to maximise their learning Plan and deliver structured 1:1 and group interventions, including Zones of Regulation strategies and targeted behaviour support Work in classrooms across the school to support pupils and reinforce positive behaviours Take the lead for our school council Celebrate positive behaviours and ensure these are recognised and reinforced consistently across the day Work alongside class teachers, the SENDCo, Safeguarding and Welfare Officer and SLT to identify needs and implement support Liaise with parents and external agencies as needed We’re Looking For Someone Who: Has experience supporting pupils who need support to access learning, behaviour needs or emotional development Understands the link between emotional regulation, relationships and readiness to learn Is confident, calm, empathetic and reliable Can work both flexibly and within structured systems and routines Holds a Level 3 TA qualification or has equivalent experience in pastoral or behaviour roles We Offer: A rewarding role that makes a daily impact on pupils A respectful and appreciative team culture Clear systems for behaviour and pupil support Opportunities for CPD, including Zones of Regulation, trauma-informed approaches and positive behaviour strategies A supportive leadership team who suppprt staff and children while modelling and reinforcing the school’s values in practice every day A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and professional growth The opportunity to influence practice across the whole school Interested?
