We are looking for a Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed childrens residential home in Derby, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The home has been carefully set up with stability in mind. Systems, policies and structures are already in place, allowing you to focus on embedding the culture, guiding your staff team and achieving excellent outcomes for young people. This isnt a rushed opening. The provider has a strong track record in residential childcare, with all 11 of their homes designed to feel therapeutic, calm and genuinely homely. Youll have the autonomy to run the service your way, with the backing of senior leaders who understand the realities of residential care and invest in their staff. Key Responsibilities
Lead the home day-to-day and hold Ofsted registration
Deliver therapeutic care in line with Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
Recruit, support and develop a small, consistent staff team
Oversee safeguarding, compliance, risk management and care planning
Establish clear routines and create a safe, nurturing environment
Build strong relationships with families, social workers and local networks
Shape the culture and set the vision for what good care looks like
About You
To succeed as a Registered Manager, you will need: Experience as a Registered Manager (or Deputy Manager ready to step up) in a childrens residential setting
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare) or working towards completion
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted inspections and regulatory requirements
Experience supporting young people with complex Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
A reflective, calm and consistent leadership style
Full UK manual driving licence
