Support Worker (Children) Location: Salford Job Type: Part-time Salary: £12.50 - £16 per hour We are seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide dedicated care and support to children within the community of Salford. This role involves attending to the physical and emotional needs of children in their homes and accompanying them on outings in the community, adhering to tailored care plans. This position is ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact on the lives of children in their own environment. Day-to-day of the role: Provide attentive care to children, addressing both their physical and emotional needs in their home environment. Follow detailed care plans tailored to each childs specific needs. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for the children. Monitor and report any changes in the conditions of children to relevant professionals. Ensure all interactions and activities are conducted in a respectful and professional manner, adhering to all safeguarding protocols. Travel within Salford, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery. Evening and weekend availability is essential for this role. Required Skills & Qualifications: A minimum of 6 months care-related experience in the UK, preferably with children. Must be able to provide references for the last 5 years of work. Strong awareness of safeguarding issues and protocols, especially related to vulnerable children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and their families. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Empathetic and compassionate nature, with a commitment to providing high-quality care. An up-to-date DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service.
