An exciting vacancy has arisen in West Yorkshire Police's Financial Investigation Unit for a Senior Financial Investigator, based predominantly in Wakefield, but required to travel within West Yorkshire.
In this role you will report to the Financial Investigation Manager and work alongside two Senior Financial Investigators. You will manage and direct investigations, providing advice and guidance to your staff.
As a Senior Financial Investigator, you will supervise a team or Financial Investigators and Financial Intelligence Officers.
The Financial Investigators will have conduct of a wide variety of cases including utilisation of all relevant powers to strip criminals of their ill-gotten gains (confiscation, cash detention, account freezing orders, listed assets). Together with the Financial Intelligence Officers, they will review and develop financial intelligence and monitor demand from around the Force for specialist assistance in financial investigations for a wide range of different investigations.
This a demanding role. You will be expected to provide advice and guidance to your staff and attend Court on a regular basis. You will supervise staff who have large and varied caseloads. You will also be expected to undertake you own financial investigations, when required.
It is essential that you are already an Accredited Financial Investigator and have considerable experience in financial investigation.
The role will also benefit from a mix of office and agile working (working from home).
