Rutherford Cross is working with a highly successful family-owned organisation to recruit for the role of Financial Controller. This role reports into the Finance Director and offers a varied role covering all aspects of financial control while managing a small and highly experienced team. The role is offering hybrid working with offices based 10 minutes outside the city centre. A summary of some of the key responsibilities include: Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and board reports Preparing and reviewing short and long-term forecasts Preparing and reviewing weekly cash forecasts Cashflow management Assisting with the preparation of the business plan Managing the annual audit process and preparation of Statutory Accounts Financial Analysis and credit checks Ensuring compliance with tax legislation e.g. CIS, CT, VAT and IR35 Overseeing management of the Finance Team ensuring all ledgers are maintained and key reporting deadlines are achieved Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and working closely with the Finance Team to identify process improvements and operational consistency Assisting with ad hoc projects in the company and wider construction group of companies For this role, the business is seeking a qualified accountant with experience leading a team, strong attention to detail and ability to deliver business process improvements.
