About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Production Planner to coordinate scheduling, material planning, and production activities to ensure parts are delivered on time and in full, ready for mass production.
Acting as the main point of contact for production orders and schedules, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient operations across the business. The successful candidate will accurately manage and maintain MRP systems, ensuring production plans align with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Using an MRP system, ensuring that raw materials and production consumables are planned, ordered and expedited effectively so that they are ready and available to use to meet the requirements of the production plan.
* Effective supplier management to ensure successful outcomes whilst working within the constraints of each individual supplier. Driving communication to minimise working capital while ensuring component availability to line.
* Ensure material requirements are monitored/adjusted in accordance with demand. Ensure that key personnel are made aware of any potential concerns from the material suppliers such as delivery delays.
Your Qualifications & Experience
* Experience using ERP/MRP systems and managing material movement is essential.
* Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills with the ability to adapt priorities as needed.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to use initiative.
* Experience with stock control, obsolescence management, and delivering cost‑saving improvements.
* Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
