Castell Howell Foods is Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have a vacancy for a Commercial/Industrial Electrician based from our Cross Hands depot.Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The role of the Commercial/Industrial Electrician is to provide support to the Facilities Management. Duties will include diagnosis and repair of various industrial machinery, planning the installation and electrical requirements of new equipment and the continuous updating and improvement of the electrical infrastructure. You will be required to:
1. Carry out electrical repairs/maintenance/installations at Castell Howell sites, including three phase and live repairs
2. Compare parts costs when surveying potential work needed at sites by contacting authorised suppliers to ensure prices are competitive
3. Emergency lighting testing
4. Fixed wiring inspections and remedial works
5. Fault finding
6. Working at height
7. In very rare cases you may be called out of hours in an emergency situation where you would need to attend site to rectify an electrical issue
You should have:
8. The ability to work independently
9. The ability to utilise an app-based work management tool (training will be provided)
10. Good timekeeping
11. An eye for detail and a high standard of workmanship
12. Initiative to maintain knowledge on legislation and regulations
13. Hold the following qualifications:
14. NVQ Level 2
15. NVQ Level 3
16. AM1 & AM2
17. City & Guilds 2391 inspection & testing is required
18. City & Guilds 18th edition is required
19. IPAF licence is desirable
