Description The Senior Commercial Trading & Planning Manager is accountable for shaping and executing the enterprise digital commercial strategy across e commerce, to include rail, and car parking channels, to deliver revenue growth, margin optimisation, and customer value. This role sits at the intersection of trading, commercial planning and digital optimisation, with a clear remit to drive revenue growth, improve conversion and maximise customer value across multiple ecommerce, service, and transport-related verticals. The role provides senior advisory input to product, pricing, finance, and marketing leadership, owns trading performance frameworks and ensures commercial priorities are embedded in digital roadmaps, propositions, and channel optimisation. Responsibilities Design and lead the multi-channel commercial strategy across e-commerce, rail, and parking, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and market dynamics. Own annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, and scenario planning; set trading objectives and OKRs that integrate product, pricing, marketing, and operational plans. Run the enterprise trading cadence (daily/weekly/monthly), surface risks and opportunities, and hold stakeholders accountable for actions and outcomes. Influence roadmap prioritisation and investment decisions to ensure commercial impact is central to product, UX, and technology enhancements. Institutionalise a test-and-learn culture using A/B and multivariate testing; deploy commercial playbooks and predictive analytics to inform trading decisions. Ensure end-to-end trading performance across e-commerce, rail ticketing, and parking propositions, safeguarding brand integrity and regulatory compliance. Own dashboards and reporting packs; translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership. Qualifications Proven success in owning and delivering multi-channel digital commercial strategies and trading performance with measurable business impact. Advanced financial and analytical capability, including forecasting, budgeting, scenario modelling, and interpreting large data sets. Expertise in e-commerce trading, with practical knowledge of pricing, yield, and revenue optimisation principles. Skilled in digital performance optimisation, including conversion rate improvement, A/B testing, and merchandising strategies.
