You will receive supervision from an experienced clinical psychologist / neuropsychologist.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide support to the Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologists, undertaking a range of assessments, delivering prescribed rehabilitation input and administrative tasks to ensure that the Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologists time and skills are used optimally.

Training will be provided for the post-holder to develop the knowledge and skills required.

The post holder will make clinical decisions (e.g., diagnosis, formulation, recommendations to patient, carer, or other professionals, treatment options, intervention plans, etc.) based on evidence.

The post holder will manage, plan and prioritise his or her clinical caseload under guidance from their clinical supervisor and Stroke Neuropsychology Lead.

The post holder will adopt a flexible approach to managing his or her caseload, so that urgent cases can be accommodated at very short notice (e.g., same day).

The post holder will liaise with assistant psychologists and clinical psychologist/neuropsychologist colleagues to ensure their time is used most effectively in achieving the aims of the service.

The post holder will use relevant IT infrastructure and clinical systems to manage their appointments, store patient records and follow governance protocols.
