We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our legal team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of clinical negligence claims, provide expert legal advice and delivering high‑quality representation to clients who have suffered harm as a result of medical care. Responsibilities
* Manage a full caseload of clinical negligence matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
* Conduct detailed investigations into potential claims, including reviewing medical records, obtaining expert evidence, and assessing liability and causation.
* Draft legal documents, including letters of claim, statements of case, witness statements, and settlement documents.
* Liaise with clients sensitively and professionally, providing clear advice on case progress, risks, and likely outcomes.
* Engage with medical experts, counsel, and external stakeholders to progress claims efficiently and effectively.
* Attend mediations, conferences, and court hearings as required.
* Negotiate settlements to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements, including CPR, Pre-Action Protocols, and SRA guidelines.
About You
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (minimum 2–3 years PQE in clinical negligence preferred).
* Strong understanding of clinical/medical negligence law, CPR, and litigation procedures.
* Demonstrable experience managing complex, high-value, or sensitive claims.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* High level of empathy, professionalism, and client-care ability.
* Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
* Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
