ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Established in 2014, we now operate four sites across Kent and employ over 1,200 colleagues. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and help keep our machinery, equipment and buildings running safely and efficiently.
The Role
You'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and all work meets Health & Safety and legislative requirements. You'll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, support statutory inspections, carry out building and equipment repairs, and help drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance and statutory checks
* Respond quickly to breakdowns and carry out efficient repairs
* Maintain accurate documentation and handover records
* Monitor machinery performance and suggest improvements
* Carry out mechanical and electrical fault-finding
* Support contractor management and building maintenance
* Provide training to production teams where required
* Uphold strong safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
* City & Guilds (or equivalent) in a mechanical subject
* 17th Edition electrical qualification
* Health & Safety training
* Experience maintaining machinery, equipment and buildings
* Strong understanding of risk assessments, safe systems of work, COSHH, F-Gas and CDM
* Confident using basic power tools and MS Office
* Ability to work at height, in confined spaces and lift heavy objects
* Full UK driving licence
