Be Bold is a PR and communications company led by journalists who understand how to tell stories that matter. We help organisations grow by building and protecting their reputations, changing perceptions, and getting them heard and seen where it counts.
We work across PR, media relations, marketing communications strategy and creative digital services. We're strategic about how we do it because we know that good PR and marketing isn't about activity, it's about impact.
We're guided by five values: purpose, innovation, improvement, straightforwardness and excellence.
Be Bold partners with clients across the UK, with a portfolio which spans the public and private sector, working across construction, inward investment, education, manufacturing and charitable organisations amongst others. We've built relationships that last: many of our clients have been with us for more than a decade because we deliver real results.
We operate like a newsroom. We spot opportunities other people miss and we react fast. But we're also strategic – we understand what our clients are trying to achieve and we work backwards from that to make sure our PR actually matters for their business.
Overview
As a PR specialist and account manager, you'll own the PR strategy and delivery for your assigned clients. You'll report to the head of PR and be the main point of contact for those clients – the person they call when they need to get their story out there or protect their reputation in a crisis.
You’ll translate what clients actually need into smart PR strategy and then deliver it: writing compelling press releases and pitches, building relationships with journalists who matter, spotting the reactive opportunities that could turn into real coverage and understanding how PR sits alongside their broader marketing and digital work. You might also be overseeing or delivering social media campaigns aligning with the PR.
This role will develop your PR thinking. You'll work on complex client challenges and learn how to advise clients strategically, not just tactically. You'll have mentorship from the head of PR and managing director and contribute specialist PR expertise to the wider team.
You’ll need to be a strong writer, have at least three years of PR experience in-house or agency, and ideally have established relationships with journalists in the sectors we work in. You need to be someone who takes ownership, works independently, delivers on time and to brief and isn’t afraid to challenge a client when the PR strategy needs to be different from what they've asked for.
