Job Description
The Insurance Claims Manager will be:
3. Managing the organisation's insurance portfolio across liability, property and travel.
4. Handling insurance claims from first report through to settlement via insurers.
5. Providing advice to internal stakeholders following incidents or risks.
6. Updating internal communications, policies and procedures in line with insurance needs.
7. Acting as the main point of contact for insurance-related queries.
8. Responding to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests regarding insurance matters.
9. Liaising with brokers, insurers and service providers.
10. Tracking claims data to support wider risk management.
11. Supporting improvements in organisational risk controls.
The Successful Applicant
The Insurance Claims Manager should be:
12. Experienced in managing insurance claims across property, liability and travel.
13. Skilled in end-to-end claims handling and stakeholder communication.
14. Able to give timely, practical insurance advice within a large organisation.
15. Familiar with internal policy and procedure review in line with insurance requirements.
16. Confident managing FOI requests related to insurance.
17. Organised, communicative and proactive in managing relationships with insurers and brokers.
What's on Offer
18. Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (pro‑rata)
19. Contract: 6 months, with potential to become permanent
20. Working Pattern: Part‑time - 3 days per week (1 in office, 2 from home)
