Who You Are As a Training Officer for Professional Development in the Social Services department, you are a committed individual with a social work qualification and registration with Social Care Wales. You have a strong track record in working with partners to achieve success and possess detailed knowledge of social work education, codes of practice, and legislation in Wales. You are adaptable, committed to equality, and have the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders. What the job involves Your role will involve supporting the delivery of development programs for social workers, overseeing continuing professional education, assessing social work students, and managing practice-based learning opportunities. You will work closely with HEI programmes, evaluate development programmes, and deputize for the Training Manager when necessary. You will also engage in continuous professional development and support the Council’s initiatives in equality, health and safety, and carbon reduction.
