Security Systems Estimator – Harlow – £45,000–£55,000 + Package
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Security Systems Estimator to join a well-established fire and security specialist based in Harlow, supporting projects across London and the surrounding areas. This is a full-time, office-based role focused on estimating, tendering, and supporting business growth across security system installation projects.
The role is well suited to an estimator with strong technical knowledge of security systems, excellent commercial awareness, and the ability to produce accurate, competitive proposals while maintaining agreed profit margins.

Role & Responsibilities
*
Reviewing all tender requests and quotation enquiries for security installation projects
*
Conducting site surveys, take-offs, and assessments
*
Preparing detailed cost breakdowns, estimates, and proposals
*
Ensuring all submissions are compliant with British Standards and submitted on time
*
Sourcing competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
*
Identifying project risks and providing commercial input
*
Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal technical teams
*
Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
*
Presenting new solutions and services to support account growth
*
Participating in internal and external project debriefs
*
Supporting wider business development and pipeline growth
Skills & Experience Required
*
Proven experience as a Security Systems Estimator or in a closely related role
*
Ideally 3+ years’ experience within security systems estimating
*
Strong knowledge of NACOSS, BAFE SP203, BS 5839, and British Standards
*
Solid understanding of security systems and components
*
Excellent analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills
*
Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, and schedules
*
Confident using estimating software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills
*
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
*
Self-motivated with strong organisation and time management skills
*
Clean criminal record with the ability to pass DBS / security screening
