As Financial Controller, you will be the backbone of our finance function owning all day-to-day financial operations, driving accuracy, and ensuring scalable, robust processes to support our growth.
You’ll lead the transition away from external reliance on Finance Box, implement tighter financial controls, and embed clear systems across accounting, payroll, and HR administration.

As Financial Controller, you’ll ensure every transaction is reliable, every report is accurate, and every process is resilient so the business can make confident decisions and grow sustainably. Your work will empower our Finance Director to focus on strategy, investment, and growth initiatives, knowing that the foundations are solid.

Key responsibilities
* Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and board packs with speed, accuracy, and insight
* Manage all transactional finance processes: AP, AR, bank reconciliations, credit control and develop best-in-class procedures
* Oversee payroll processing, ensuring completeness, compliance, and alignment with HR records
* Implement and maintain robust HR and finance controls, including agency staff checks, timesheet approvals, and recruitment authorisations
* Ensure all statutory reporting, tax filings, and compliance deadlines are met without exception
* Own cashflow forecasting and management, highlighting risks and opportunities proactively
* Collaborate with the Finance Director to design and embed the future reporting structure and systems
* Drive process improvements that reduce manual work and improve data integrity
* Build strong relationships across operations, HR, and customer service teams to improve the flow of information
* Support audit readiness and ensure records are complete and accessible
* Train and mentor finance team colleagues, building capability and resilience in the function
