Job Description
3. Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
5. Prepare payment runs and ensure appropriate approvals are in place.
6. Maintain accurate records of all transactions within the purchase ledger system.
7. Assist with month-end processes related to accounts payable.
8. Address and resolve queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
10. Support the wider accounting team with ad hoc tasks as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
11. Previous experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable.
12. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
13. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
14. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
15. The ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
16. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
