Role responsibilities
The Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response Manager will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Integrated Emergency Management (IEM) across Transport for Wales. This role ensures emergency preparedness is embedded within TfW’s business processes, enabling the organisation to respond effectively to both anticipated and unforeseen incidents.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
1. Lead the development and maintenance of TfW’s Integrated Emergency Management framework, policies, and procedures.
2. Oversee the Incident Care Team, ensuring adequate membership levels and training.
3. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including Local Resilience Forums (LRFs) and other multi-agency partners.
4. Ensure the emergency on-call roster is effective, with regular training and updates for participants.
5. Monitor emerging risks and trends, developing tailored response plans as needed.
Who we’re looking for
6. Proven experience in emergency planning and crisis management.
7. Strong understanding of the Civil Contingencies Act and associated responsibilities.
8. Experience in emergency preparedness testing.
9. Proficiency in IT, including presentation tools.
10. Excellent communication skills across all organisational levels.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
