Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Engineer to join our aerospace engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and testing avionics systems utilised in aircraft and spacecraft. Duties
* Design and develop avionics systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical issues within avionics components and systems.
* Create detailed schematics and system designs for electronic circuits and embedded systems.
* Utilise programming languages including C++, Python, and MATLAB for system simulation, data analysis, and automation tasks.
* Manage projects from conception through to completion, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet technical specifications and deadlines.
* Perform system integration, testing, and validation in laboratory environments to ensure functionality under operational conditions.
* Analyse data collected during testing phases to optimise system performance and reliability.
* Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise manufacturing tolerances are maintained in mechanical components associated with avionics systems.
Experience
* Proven experience in systems engineering within the aerospace or defence industry.
* Demonstrable expertise in schematic capture, circuit design, and PCB layout using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
* Strong background in programming languages including C++, Python, and MATLAB for embedded systems development and data analysis.
