1. 1 Part time – Permanent
2. 1 Part time – Maternity cover for 1 year (or the return to work of the post holder, whichever is sooner)
£ 37,041 - £39,464 pro rata Inclusive of Island Allowance

As the Senior Autism Practitioner, you’ll ensure the successful delivery of our services in the Orkney Area Service. Leading a team of dedicated Autism Practitioners, you will inspire them to provide a high quality support service to individuals with Autism and empower them live and cope with the stresses of daily life with a focus on their, and the team's wellbeing.

Using your outstanding communication skills, you’ll collaborate with agencies, multi-disciplinary teams and families to implement support plans to help individuals to succeed in their day-to-day lives.
Actively involving yourself in the recruitment process, you’ll always be on the lookout for talented individuals who could make the team even stronger.

To be considered for this diverse leadership role, you must have:
7. Experience gained within a supervisory and/or management role
8. A health & social care qualification, or the willingness to gain an SVQ level 4 in health & social care and Leadership & management for care services (LMC) qualification provided by the organisation.
9. A good level of IT literacy, including MS word and Excel.
As part of your role, you will be required to undertake shift work, including weekends, evenings and as required for on-call, so a flexible approach to support the needs of the service is paramount.

These posts are subject to a PVG Disclosure check. All new employees must register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of starting in post. Scottish Autism cover all the costs of PVG membership and SSSC Registration for employees.
