The role is based at the company's office in Ballymoney, with a Monday to Friday schedule.
Salary: Negotiable + 10% Bonus, Growth Opportunities, and additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with local Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, as well as company policies.
2. Report on HSE Performance KPIs, conduct environmental monitoring and measurement.
3. Lead HSE steering meetings and safety committees.
4. Assist in claims management processes.
5. Regularly review HSE risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
6. Support HSE and continuous improvement projects.
7. Conduct accident/incident investigations and support other investigations.
8. Work with regulatory enforcement agencies, insurance providers, and occupational health services.
9. Identify HSE training needs and deliver training as required.
10. Collaborate with site teams—including leadership, production, engineering, logistics, and purchasing—to implement HSE improvement plans and safety roadmaps.
11. Ensure the safety of contractors and visitors on site.
12. Support HSE budgeting, including processing purchase orders and resolving invoice queries.
13. Coordinate and consult with leadership teams.
14. Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Possesses a NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or similar (candidates working towards qualification are also considered).
2. Has experience in a similar role.
3. Is knowledgeable about current health, safety, and environmental legislation.
4. Has a good understanding of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and display screen equipment.
