We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supported Housing Manager to join us. As we start to refresh and develop our strategy for Specialist Housing within SNG, this role will be key in influencing our direction and will help to shape and embed this, creating lots of opportunity for you to make a significant impact in this space. You can be based at our Bristol, Newbury, Basingstoke or Hurn offices. There will be regular travel required across our geography, so you should have access to transport and be happy to travel.
The Role
In this new role, you'll lead, manage and motivate a team of Supported Housing Managers and indirectly a large diverse customer-facing team, who work across all of our Localities to provide specialist housing management in close partnership with local authorities and external support providers. Our Supported Housing team provides a wide range of services, including:
* Temporary accommodation for adults, young people, and families at risk of homelessness
* Housing First tenancies
* Housing for adults and young people with disabilities or mental illness
* Support for those experiencing domestic abuse
* Extra care housing and properties for customers with support needs
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring our service delivers exceptional customer service with a 'right first time' approach
* Developing partnerships with local authorities and support providers
* Supporting the Head of Specialist Housing in shaping our strategy
* Monitoring KPIs, customer feedback, and staff surveys, and implementing continuous improvements
* Building strong cross-functional relationships for service enhancement
* Overseeing maintenance, refurbishment, and budgeting for accommodation
* Staying updated on legislation and best practices, understanding customer needs and the operating environment
Requirements include:
* Previous experience leading and managing a diverse team in supported housing, especially in homelessness prevention
* Knowledge of supported housing, service design, and improvement initiatives
* Understanding of regulation and contractual requirements
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Leadership qualities that empower and support team collaboration
