Site Engineer – 7/8 Week Contract – Scotland & North East
We’re currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to support multiple infrastructure project sites across Scotland and the North East on a short-term paternity cover contract.
This role would suit a strong all-round engineer comfortable working across live site environments, supporting quality documentation, lift planning activities, and occasional setting out duties.
💷 Rate: £350–£400 per day (Inside IR35)
📍 Locations:
* Wooler
* Simprim
* Haddington
* Rhynd (Perth)
* Charlestown (Dunfermline)
* Pettinain (Lanark)
📅 Start Date: 1st June
⏳ Duration: 7–8 Weeks
Candidates based around Fife / Kinross / Central Scotland would be ideally located for travel between sites.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ WC Quality Check Sheets
✔ Supporting Lift Plans & lifting activities
✔ Site engineering support
✔ Occasional setting out
✔ Site documentation & compliance
✔ Liaising with site teams & subcontractors
Requirements:
* Previous Site Engineer experience within civils or infrastructure
* Strong understanding of quality documentation
* Experience supporting Lift Plans
* CSCS Card
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Able to work independently across multiple sites
Desirable:
* AutoCAD experience
* Setting out experience
* Utilities or infrastructure background
